Is it possible to have more than one best friend?

I believe . . .

It is absolutely possible to have more than one best friend!

When growing up, we usually form our first friendships. Many, not all, find a friend they can hold on to and talk about anything. Usually, that friendship moves on to others as we age, mature and move away.

I have a group of friends that I used to hang out with. There were four of us, which we could easily call each other best friends. *this was high school* There were around 2,000 students. Most all students in the same grade knew each other or of each other... we consider them acquaintances. Some we would get to know a little and call them friends. But the group of four, we could talk for hours and yes, we would have probably killed for each other (in a sense). We were very close, but only at school.

As I left school, a new concept of friendships developed, and in those, I usually found one or two who became close enough to call a "best friend". I moved a lot and found that I would 'acquire' close friends in many places. In doing so, you learn to pick and choose how you select a friend to be a close friend. However, there comes a time when someone may be set in your path when you were not looking. So, now, we find best friends for different situations.

Now, being wiser (haha) and more mature, I find that even tho I have best friends scattered around the states, anytime I need an ear or a shoulder, any one of them make themselves available. And I, as friends go, would do the same. We all go through different eras of life when we need different things. In that, we tend to determine who we can count on, who we can trust, or who we can just lean on for the sake of leaning. Those, we call best friends. I have one for every stage of my life.

I have one friend who I have been close to (but rarely speak with because of distance) since high school. The other two have gone in separate directions, but she and I have remained close. She was my maid of honor the first time I married, then my matron of honor the last. Even tho I do not want to burden her, I know I can still count on her after nearly 40 years.

Then, there are the beautiful friends you meet here...online. You find you have common ground with so many more than you would have ever believed. When you find that, there is a connection that brings you close, close enough to consider one a best friend. When you think about it, by ratio, we really do not (at least the majority of people) have many real friends. But yet, when you have one, you want to keep them close to your heart.

I have met or talked to many people, some who become friends or good friends. But I have learned, best friends are the ones who take the biggest chunks of your heart and hold on for life. I feel blessed and so grateful that I am able to consider so many a best friend. Best friends hold a connection that is real and deep. Just friends will party with ya, but they will go their separate way... a best friend will make sure you are home safe and sound.

New Venture

I am truly the skeptic when it comes to learning and working on new things... especially when having to deal with money!  I was introduced recently to this new venuture - Paybox.me.  You start out (currently as a beta tester) with a quick fifty dollars in your account!  How GREAT is that!!!! No vested finances, at least not now, to get in on the ground level.  Well, my account has really been adding up... you see, you gain funds daily thru them just by being active and helping them to test out their technology.   And for every referral you get another five in the wallet... great deal huh?

Try it out for yourself... I wasn't sure of it myself at first, and still not sure completely.  But, I must say, of all the things I have tried til now, it is the most promising!  I could really use those referrals... and I bet you could, too!  Here is the spot to be...Paybox.me!

Change... Progressive or Depressive?

Geeeeeeeesh!
It seems just as I get the hang of one new 'progress' in technology there are three more waiting for me to hit the "try the new blah blah blah"!  I would just like to enjoy the old while it is still new!  LOL

Why is everyone always in such a hurry?  It just seems for many the progress is really beginning to depress more and more people.  I mean, it is bad enough when we are having difficulties just keeping up with the money increases now, how are we supposed to add to that without being depressed!?

Phooey!  Progress is just a word.  We all need to move on at our own speed.  Those who are trying to reach the finish line first are simply passing everyone up just to wind up sitting around to wait on everyone else to catch up -- and they are taking their time to enjoy the view!

Much to Learn, But Family First

(original post a Dabbling Roze, August 2010)
Well... I am still finding that there is more and more to learn in the blogging... if you just now received a reply from your own comment it is because I did not realize until now I needed to approve them and did not see them until now.

I have been away mostly for the last few weeks. WHY? Well, for starters, I had about seven of my own sites to relocate (and let me tell you...it was a chore!) and a couple dozen I helped move and help with. Also, we found out my hubby had another problem with his heart. In 2001, due to heart attack and some blockages found, he had a double by-pass. Now, two more blockages were located and there was a second by-pass surgery that took place July 29, 2010 - yes, a week ago. With oh so many things like this -- you can only imagine my interest in my site, United Caregivers. He was out of the hospital in three days after the surgery... amazing what they can do these days.

Also, we are celebrating our grandsons first year! What a blessing he is. He was two months early, yet that was expected; just over 4lbs.
From To
We are having a party for him tomorrow! How quickly they grow.

Idol Hands are the Devil's Work... None Here!

Could a person be any busier!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you notice to the right side here, I have a lot of irons in the fire... well, that is not all of them! Building graphics, attending and working on church activities, staying involved with family and care issues, and my own health is a total 48/14 job! How do you get two days into one? YOU DON'T...LOL So, you can figure I am out there, wayyyyyy out there even. Please do take a moment to check out some of the links and maybe even join in on some. If you are business, please take into account and remember that not all of the network sites are for business and adding yours to theirs may not be tolerated. However, there are a few listed that are for marketing purposes, business promoting, health care/all care, church and ministry, causes, and my graphics building sites.

Johan Beetge and I have recently set up a site called Stop! which is for lobbying causes -- against rape, violence, dangers, etc. You are welcome to see if you fit into any of those by going to www.stopabuse.spruz.com. Maybe you have some definite views that you would like to talk about.

Also, I have Biblical Living, a site for learning, reading, and talking about living a Christian lifestyle. There is a place for questions and answers and my partner, Johan C. Beetge, is about as knowledgeable as they come in knowing about the Christian way of life. He resides in South Africa and has the site Workers for Jesus.

Check out my United Caregivers site. There are groups for all sorts of issue including child care, elder care, animal/pet care, general and specific health care and issues. We have recently added Rev. Dale Ward as clergy and help for the Addictions group. Please just take a moment to check it out. I don't think you will be disappointed. We are always looking for others to add their dilemmas, their stories and experiences, and their expertise.

This is just a few of the projects I have going. I will try to add more soon.

Til then, visit me at Graphics By Roze.

I welcome your comments and views... please.
